Research
Everything we work on reduces to the same problem: given imperfect measurements of a moving world, how confidently can you say where something is, and where it goes next?
Six-degree-of-freedom trajectory modeling, drag coefficient estimation from Doppler data, spin drift and Coriolis correction, and transonic behavior where the simple models stop being honest.
Waveform design, matched filtering, clutter and multipath rejection, and detection theory applied to small, low-power apertures — plus propagation modeling over real terrain rather than flat earth.
Mesoscale forecasting and boundary-layer characterization — the air is the medium every other program has to shoot, sense, or see through. Density altitude, wind profiles, refractivity gradients, and precipitation clutter, resolved finely enough to matter over a single valley.
Kalman, unscented, and particle filters for multi-sensor tracking; data association under clutter; and calibrated uncertainty, so a number never arrives without an error bar attached.
The general-purpose end of the work: optical and acoustic measurement, atmospheric characterization, calibration methodology, and whichever adjacent question the current program drags us into.
GPS-denied localization, inertial-aided navigation, terrain-referenced positioning, and the fusion of all three — because the hardest place to know where you are is the one that matters most.

Method
A model that hasn't been checked against the world is a hypothesis wearing a lab coat. Every program here ends the same way — instrumented tests, residuals published internally, and the model corrected until the errors look like noise instead of structure.
